I think someone else mentioned this but this if the first time it happened to me and I thought it quite funny and had to share:
My name is Cynthia,
I am a young beautiful girl with full of love, caring and romantic. I was impress when i saw your profile in (www.squidoo.com)and i love it, i think we can click together. I will like you to reply me through this my email address (cynthia ahmed’s email removed) and i will show you my picture then you will know more about me.
Please contact me direct to my email address (cynthia ahmed’s email removed) so that i will have enough space to attach my picture and send it to you from there you will know more about me.
Age,distance and language does not matter but love matters in life.
Waiting for your reply to my email address soon.
Cynthia
It’s so good to be back and waste time sorting through this. Hopefully it’s the only one.

I had almost the same one too the other day.
Fortunately so far they appear only 2 or 3 times a month, if that.
She did say you could click together - how about she clicks on all your lenses
(of course she doesn’t exist… it’s a fake profile).
Never respond to these by the way - more often than not they are aimed at confirming whether your email address is valid of not. Reply and they will know it is - and then you are added to spammers mailing lists.
Frustrating!

Good point. I should have mentioned that.
I guess with increased traffic is going to come these type of annoyances. Could always be worse.

Yes, especially since they don’t have your email address until you do reply - the beauty of the Contact feature in Squidoo. I’m very careful about who I reply to, even if they are a legitimate lensmaster with several lenses - sometimes I will choose to respond in a lensmaster’s guestbook rather than let him have my email details, especially if I suspect he contacted me to market to me.
