I make a to do list of things that MUST be done today and things that I can safely leave until tomorrow, next week etc.
Breaking things down into manageable chunks always helps me – for example I am in a show in January, at first the script scared me. One page in particular is full of lines that are mine. So I set myself a target to learn four lines a day & suddenly it is not so overwhelming any more.
I also take frequent breaks to do housework or something other than online work. On good days I take a walk down the river highway. There’s nothing like a mile or two walking to pump blood to the brain and make the world look beautiful again. (Also by the time you get back you’re grateful to sit in front of the computer again, to rest!)
Another thing I do – and this is my big secret that I save for special days like NaNoWriMo writing… I take one Ginseng capsule and two Ginko Biloba. The Ginseng is for mental energy and the Ginko for mental dexterity.

I push myself away from my desk and do something mindless. Laundry, dusting…grocery shopping (which is not at the top of my favorites list).
I thrive on the creative part–from idea to finishing a new lens. But the updating gets to me sometimes, so I need breaks more often.
Remember to breathe, too.

All of the above. A to do list keeps me on track, time off, including a day or two away from the whole thing, often helps too.
